I just want to say a huge thank you to Gary (Selfridges) who met my Mum and myself this morning when she came for a wig fitting. My Mum has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and was really nervous about getting a wig. Gary was so kind and gentle and managed to find the perfect option within 5 minutes – which was unbelievable! She looked amazing and is now feeling great. I can’t thank Gary enough. He’s a real asset to your company! Please let him know how much we appreciate his help and kindness.

Gary Price has been fundamental to helping me find a wig solution that works for me. I have had Alopecia Totalis since I was very little and didn’t decide that I wanted to wear a wig until I was twenty-five so when I ventured into the world of wigs I wasn’t just looking for a wig, but an expert to advise me on what’s possible, what’s available and crucially, what suits me and thankfully, I found this in Gary. He has an innate ability to immediately put me at ease, to understand me and my style and based on that information, make suggestions as to which solution would work best for me. I decided that a bespoke wig would be the best option for me, which Gary cuts and styles for me and I could not be happier with the results! Gary’s expertise, sensitivity and skill means that I have never left one of his consultations feeling like I’m wearing a wig; I always leave feeling like me.

Thank you so much for your help in finding the right wig for me today. I feel so reassured after my visit – for myself and for my children – that I will look like me through the treatment to come. You’ve got such a wonderfully calm, gentle manner and without fuss found me a wig I was comfortable in. One with a little less volume that was as much like my natural hair as you could get. I truly appreciate your expertise, experience and care – and feel much less daunted by what’s to come – I know that I’m in good hands for my next visit to fit, style and cut the wig – and my own hair too. I’ll see you on the other side! And thank you again, honestly you were brilliant.

About eight years ago I noticed a small bald patch around my hairline. I had always had thick hair and although it had become slightly thinner with age this discovery was quite shocking to me. My hairdresser reassured me that this can happen and gave me some positive advice on how to restore my hair as she had herself had a similar problem in the past. Fortunately for her, her hair recovered but mine didn’t. I saw a female GP at my practice who was less than sympathetic, telling me “hair loss is hair loss” She sent me away with a steroid lotion which did nothing so I sought the help of a trichoiogist who reassured me that he could help and restore my hair.

I underwent several rounds of “stimulating” treatment which did not help and by this time my hair loss was becoming worse and my bank balance was much lighter. I returned to the GP and was eventually referred to the Dermatology Department who in turn referred me to a Hair Loss Specialist at Guys Hospital. He told me immediately that he could do nothing for me on the NHS although he could have done if he had seen me earlier but if I would like to attend his Harley Street Clinic there were many options he could Offer.

By this time I felt at a loss and was also dealing with a lot of personal issues which I have no doubt didn’t help. I was desperate to do something about the situation but didn’t know which way to turn. I then saw Gary Price on TV and something told me this was the place to go to get the advice and help I needed. I made an appointment and haven’t looked back since. I had my free consultation with Gary Price and he has changed my life. He is quiet and considerate, listens to how you are feeling and gives the best advice on how to move forward with a distressing situation. We decided a custom made hair piece was the best option for me and his attention to detail in getting it exactly right is second to none. He is there for you every step of the way and deals with your emotional and aesthetic situation quietly and reassuringly. He knows exactly what you need without pressurising you in anyway at all. I am now onto my second hairpiece and I would (and have) recommend anyone experiencing any kind of hair loss, whatever their circumstances, to go to Gary. I trust him completely and know that I can speak to him at any time or pop in to make adjustments as required. I cannot thank him enough for making me feel like myself again. He is the ultimate expert and has restored my confidence.

Gary Price has saved my sanity on many occasions; he is a miracle worker in my opinion. Alopecia blighted my life and badly affected my confidence when I was younger (wish I had known Gary then!). When female pattern baldness struck again years later (during a ton of stress and peri-menopausal) it was a massive blow to my self-image, but from the minute I met Gary he helped me to accept the situation, to not worry every time I looked in the mirror and to feel as if I could cope with whatever happened next. Losing your crowning glory is very hard and it’s even harder to trust anyone to deal with this, but Gary is worth every penny. If you need a wig, he is the only medical hair specialist I would trust to make something very special. I can’t thank him enough for improving my confidence and self-esteem when I was at an all-time low and on every occasion since.
